What Anabolic Steroids Can Women Use?

Anabolic steroids have been around for decades, athletes began using anabolic steroids in 1954 during the Olympics. Russian weight lifters were given doses of testosterone to help enhance athletic performance.

In the 80s the general population began taking anabolic steroids and they became popular among bodybuilders. I’m sure steroid use happened before but it was kept quiet.

Today without a doubt, steroid use is common, some may say that steroids are abused now more than ever.

Years ago pro bodybuilders would use them to refine their physique but they were not substances that were used year-round.

Today men and women of all ages use anabolic steroids but this does not mean they should.

If you were to participate in some of the popular online forums you would find that many women seek information about taking anabolic steroids.

A lot of women don’t know the first thing about taking steroids and much less the side effects they can cause.

Female friendly steroids

There is a lot of discussions about female-friendly steroids, this term can be misleading because they don’t exist.

Certain anabolic steroids are considered safe because they cause fewer side effects than others.

Anabolic steroids are chemical derivatives of the male sex hormone testosterone. The female sex hormone in women is estrogen, women do produce testosterone but only in small amounts.

Many anabolic steroids are highly androgenic, if women take them they may begin to experience something called steroid virilization.

This is what happens to women who take steroids.

The high levels of testosterone begin to transform their body some of the most common side effects include.

Deeper voice

More facial and body hair

Oily skin

Hair loss

Clitoral enlargement (clitoromegaly)

Steroids that are considered female-friendly

There are only a few steroids that women can use, however, since women have a lower tolerance even a low dose of anabolic steroids can have a noticeable effect on a woman’s body.

The benefit of steroids is to help women gain muscle, increase strength and boost physical endurance.

Some of these steroids can have a positive impact on athletic performance.

Anavar (Oxandrolone)

This is a popular steroid used by women, it is considered mild when used in low doses because of its low androgenic nature.

Anavar has an androgenic ratio of 45:320 which is low when compared to other anabolic steroids.

The higher the androgenic rating the more likely women are to experience side effects.

The half-life of Anavar is 10 hours, what this means is that this is the amount of time it stays in your body after you take it.

This is important to know because in the event you begin to notice side effects you can suspend it and prevent further side effects from occurring.

The recommended dose of Anavar for women should not exceed 5-10mg, anything higher could lead to masculinization.

Benefits of Anavar

Anavar is used to enhance physical conditioning, female bodybuilders will often use it a few weeks before a competition, in order to gain more lean muscle ain increase muscle definition and vascularity.

Besides overall physical enhancements, Anavar helps increase strength, and prevent water retention.

Winstrol

This is a well-known anabolic steroid that is sometimes used by women.

Winstrol is often perceived as a steroid to help promote weight loss, the reality is that this steroid increases protein synthesis allowing for increase muscle.

Winstrol can help increase athletic performance and prevent catabolism, this is helpful during cutting cycles preventing muscle loss.

The problem with Winstrol is that it can cause virilization, even more so than Anavar.

Hoarseness (deeper voice), acne outbreaks, irregular menstrual periods, and more facial hair.

Some women report hair loss and severe acne after taking Winstrol for a few weeks.

The biggest argument about Women and Winstrol is that some consider that the side effects in low doses are not that bad. However, just my own personal experience has been the contrary, the side effects of even taking 10mg per day can be severe.

It should also be taken into consideration that Winstrol is hepatoxic and can cause liver problems.

Primobolan

This is a steroid that could be considered mild when compared to Winstrol and on par with Anavar, Some women will even go as far as to stack Primobolan with Anavar.

Compared to Anavar, Primobolan has an anabolic rating of 44-57 because of this it is considered mild and female-friendly.

Primobolan comes in an injectable form (Methenolone Enanthate), in pill form its know as (Methenolone Acetate).

While this anabolic steroid is considered weak, women will see good results from it due to their higher androgenic sensitivity.

Primobolan can be used during a cutting cycle to maintain muscle mass or during a bulking cycle in order to gain additional muscle.

The biggest issue with Primobolan is finding a legitimate source, that is actually selling the real product, there are many online pharmaceutical companies that sell Primobolan but these are often counterfeit.

Trying to find legitimate sources of anabolic steroids is a chore in itself, however, if you do your careful research they are available. One good source worth looking at would be domestic- supply you can visit their website here they have been around for many years and sell the real deal.

Should women take steroids?

This is a personal question have to ask themselves.

Steroids of any kind can cause side effects, ask any reputable fitness coach or trainer to give or her honest opinion about them, anyone who is reasonable will tell you that before taking any substances you should take a close look at your training regimen and diet.

Losing more body fat and increasing toned muscle can be fine-tuned by a few dietary changes and workout regimens, once you have reached your limits with those methods only then should you consider taking steroids.

Alternatives that work like steroids?

Most women don’t realize that there are safe steroid alternatives, they offer similar benefits that can burn fat, increase muscle and boost training performance.

The difference between these and anabolics is that they take a bit longer to work but the end result is the same.

Why Women Should Think Twice Before Using Steroids

Anabolic steroids are substances that are often used by female athletes, fitness models, and bodybuilders. At one point I stupidly tried them myself and did not have a good experience. Since then I have found better ways to improve my physique with different training methods, a good diet, and supplementation. I’m not saying that you should not take steroids, however, there are many things women should consider before using anabolic steroids.

I’m sure some of you have seen women with an incredible body at your gym. When you do it makes the imagination wander, those women with big breasts or a big booty we can assume have had some kind of surgical enhancement, then there are women who have vascular rock hard muscles and curves that make you wonder how did they get that way.

Not to be critical but today’s generation often look for shortcuts or an easy way to do just about anything, including a physical transformation with the help of anabolic steroids.

It’s a known fact that if you take steroids even without working out they help increase muscle and eliminate body fat. Working out enhances the process, even more, the problem is steroids can only do so much.

We have all heard of the side effects from anabolic steroids which I have discussed here, in this article, I am going to share with you what I have learned about anabolic steroids and why most women should avoid them.

One of the reasons I write about this topic is because not a day goes by that I don’t hear women discussing their intent to take steroids, the problem is that a lot of these women are not even physically ready, and much less understand how they work.

Many women just know of other women who have used them before and think they should also try them.

What are anabolic steroids?

Anabolic steroids are derivatives of the male hormone testosterone.

Just hearing male hormone would make a lot of women run in the opposite direction, that is unless you are planning on a sex change in the near future.

Yes, women who take testosterone will begin to experience man like traits, that’s because the main sex hormone in women is estrogen.

Women do produce testosterone but only about one-seventh of what men produce.

Even though women produce less testosterone than men do, it does seem to play an important part in boosting female sex drive and mood.

Testosterone can also help prevent the onset of osteoporosis which is often responsible for bone fractures and breaks.

When women take testosterone it can cause several problems that range from shrinking breasts, a bigger clitoris, a deeper voice and excess facial and body hair.

In spite of the side effects caused by steroids some women are still willing to try them.

The biggest issue I have seen is that a lot of women want to take steroids long before they have achieved as much as they possibly can with plain old diet and exercise.

Have you ever seen a woman who has taken steroids for a long time?

For some females, a rugged more masculine look may be fine but others want to keep their femininity intact.

Photo: Kashma Maharaj FBB Pro Courtesy Pinterest

Taking anabolic steroids is serious business but why are some women so obsessed with taking steroids?

Reasons why women want to take steroids:

Get rid of body fat

Increase muscle mass *beyond their normal potential)

Increase strength

Boost physical performance

Improve muscle definition and vascularity

If you visit some of the message boards on popular forums you will find women there who want to take steroids for some of the strangest reasons, I have seen anything from women who are going on a cruise or special social event or those who want to look good for spring break at the beach.

I’m sure there are dozens of ways to justify steroid use but I always say that taking steroids should be a last resort.

While it is true that female bodybuilders and fitness models that take anabolic steroids have usually been training for several years and have made a career out of bodybuilding and fitness, most of these women have special doctors and trainers to guide them, even so, its risky business.

Reasons why women should avoid anabolic steroids

You don’t fully understand the risks

Most women play down the risks and side effects associated with using anabolic steroids, you will be told that certain steroids are female-friendly, the truth is there is no such thing as a female-friendly steroid.

Why some claim female-friendly steroids exist.

Each anabolic steroid has something called a half-life, this is the amount of time a substance stays in your body. There are both slow and fast-acting esters, the difference between the two is how long the substance remains in your body.

Female friendly steroids are those with fast acting esthers.

The reason they are considered friendly is that if they do begin to cause side effects stopping them immediately will prevent further side effects from occurring.

For example, taking slow-acting esters could cause your voice to deepen and your clitoris to grow, many times once the side effects begin to surface there is no guarantee they can be reversed.

Even anabolic steroids with fast-acting steroids have side effects.

Most of the fast-acting steroids are metabolized fast so you have to take them more often, in most cases every day, since they are processed by your liver they can begin to affect it.

Oral steroids are metabolized by the liver and are more toxic.

It will be hard to avoid symptoms of masculinization

Even the mildest steroid will cause some sort of steroid virilization to happen, even if you do a few short term cycles that cause side effects that amount to 2% every time you take them, after three cycles you will have some degree of masculinization.

Imagine taking steroids for several years, this will definitely have side effects.

Sooner or later you will lose your gains

There are few women that can keep a constant training regimen, once again those that do are doing it because it’s their career, they earn money from it. If you are just doing it for a hobby for the sake of looking good why would you risk your health?

Pro fitness models and bodybuilders quickly lose their gains after they stop using steroids.

After female bodybuilders or fitness models retire you will notice that they quickly begin to lose muscle and begin to gain weight. Taking steroids is no different than working out, as long as you workout you can usually consume more food (calories). The minute you stop working out and continue to eat the same amount of food you gain weight.

Taking anabolic steroids is no different, while you take them you are stronger, have a faster metabolism, and more endurance, the minute you stop taking them you will quickly lose your gains, this cannot only affect your body it may also affect some women psychologically.

Most women should not take anabolic steroids

I invite any woman who is interested in taking some kind of anabolic steroid to do their own research. Visit different steroid forums and you will see that most experts will tell women to avoid anabolic steroids if they can. Having a better-looking body is more about proper training and diet. In fact, I have personally been able to bring my body fat down considerably just by eliminating complex carbs from my diet.

Sponsored Link

Supplements can also be helpful

If you want to gain muscle and burn body fat there are dozens of supplements that can help. Dietary supplements, if used properly and with proper training, can be almost as effective as steroids.

Supplements like Clenbutrol contain ingredients that help speed up your body’s metabolism without side effects. So don’t be afraid to experiment with different supplements.

Conclusion

Just because you think that anabolic steroids are the answer to transforming your physique they are not. Anabolic steroids might seem like magic pills, however, they are not something you should mess around with.

I personally feel much better knowing that I have earned my physique from hard work and proper nutrition, I can’t speak for other women because each individual has to choose what they feel is right for them.
